Blackmagic Atem Television Studio User Manual
I am a Tech Ed High School Teacher, just getting back into the Video Class world. I had a previous question answered on this forum about cameras working with our new switcher (thank you).
BUT - the reason I am going through the cameras is I can not seem to get the XLR inputs on the back of the switcher to show any audio coming in. I have tried microphones, I have tried direct input from my aux out on my phone. No audio levels show from those back XLR ports. I am sure I am missing something, just do not know what.
Thoughts?

WHS Tech Ed TeacherHi all,
I am just setting up a new ATEM Television Studio and I am experiencing issues getting it connected to my computer.
I've plugged it into my computer via ethernet, and have actually tried on both a Windows and Mac computer, but am having the same issues on both.
On Windows I am getting an unidentifed network, which doesn't seem to be connecting. I've gone into the connection's settings and changed the TCP/IPv4 details to the same IP address & default gateway etc as the chassis settings (having connected to the PC with USB first to get the right settings). It hasn't made any difference and still doesn't connect.
I did the same with Mac, having gone into Network settings and enabled 'Ethernet' and manually entered the same IP address, router and default gateway. That then says connected in Network Settings, but when I load the software control utility it also says 'Unconnected'.
Any ideas?
Many thanks!!

This question is about Audio Inputs to the Switcher. (ATEM TV Studio HD). I do finally have audio coming in, but I am having to run my microphones through the camera inputs which then brings my audio into the ATEM. I would prefer to either bring it direct to the ATEM switcher back ports or eventually get an audio mixer (when funds free up).BUT - the reason I am going through the cameras is I can not seem to get the XLR inputs on the back of the switcher to show any audio coming in. I have tried microphones, I have tried direct input from my aux out on my phone. No audio levels show from those back XLR ports. I am sure I am missing something, just do not know what.
- ATEM Television Studio HD is small but packed with high end features, making it the ultimate portable switcher. ATEM Television Studio Pro HD has all of the same features but the switcher is fully integrated into a professional control panel so you can work much faster on larger complex live productions.
- ATEM Television Studio HD is a true professional switcher that’s incredibly tiny, making it compact and portable enough to use anywhere! The all in one design includes a built in AC power supply, full front panel controls with input source buttons for switching, a built in LCD screen, spin knob and more.
