Look properly and you’ll find a glut of wireless earphones around the £90 mark, but high street fave Urbanears has limbo’d under £70 with the Urbanears Plattan ADVs.

Funnily enough, you get a lot less mass too, as this pair is very petite. It all plays into Urbanears' very gender-neutral style. That said, the rainbow of colours the pair comes in adds a concentrated shot of personality into what is, at its core, a fairly simple headphone.

Its special move is a removable fabric headband cover, letting you sweat into the thing as much as you like before just popping it in a 30-degree wash to get rid of any unwanted whiffs. However, the mids are low on detail and are buoyed by mid-bass ballast that makes the Plattan ADVs sound pretty messy and confused when dealing with any remotely busy arrangements. If you can afford an extra £20, you can do better.
