When you turn the computer starts the operating system without problems, but when running 'startup' I get a window with the following message:

That could mean anything, your clue is that it fails at start up, if you don't want to do a LFC try a restoring system state first

It seems that your DARC is not working properly.
Try this Linux commands to see if you can communicate with it :
- ping darc
- rsh darc
If these commands are OK, your issue can be a bad DARC disk drive

hi! i have trouble with light speed 8 slice with Goc 4 console.
i need reload the software do you know how to do?
i put the DVD disc on the cpu i start the console and it put in boot mode and gave me some options to choice, one of them is recovery system , i can do this?
the problema is i have to replace the darc, but it not had the software installed.

Hi Miguel you need to load only the software for your darc, no LFC if you only Replace the darc.

LFC should solve all your problems. Yes, load all the 3 disks and then the fourth is the applications disk. Do you know the passwords? I could send them to you if you need them. #bigbuy & 4$apps

Dear
What is version of your console: GOC5, 5.5 or 6?
First: You check Ethernet card
Second: reconfig it
Third: LFW it
If three step above is not solved your problem, you can do LFC

Hello, I agree with Tuy Do Duy,
If you need to know the version of your console, open a unix shell and type :
grep CONSOLETYPE /usr/g/config/INFO
If you have a GOC 5 or GOC 5.5, check if the host communicates with the DARC (use the following command : ping DARC) or look if the DARC has booted.
